Tell Me What You Love
"I don't think of all the misery but of the beauty that still remains"
Anne Frank
As I was scrolling on a Social Media site, minding my own business, I noticed a trend, people asking others what they hate. Really? We get one life. One life to love as much as we can. Should hate be our focus? Can you list all of the things you love? Despite all that is going on in your life, negative or positive? Write that list. Talking or writing about all that you hate, brings more of what you hate, to you. Don't believe me? Have you ever had a really bad morning? Where everything went wrong? You woke up late? stubbed your toe? Burnt toast and nasty coffee? And if you keep focusing on these things, your whole day is ruined. But when you change your focus(Hopefully on something positive)your whole day can and WILL change. So it makes me wonder, why would people want to write a list about all that they hate?
Why encourage that type of thinking and feeling? I believe it comes down to this: There are people in the world who love misery. They really do see the glass half empty instead of half full. They love misery and they want company. That's it. No fancy words or deep conversations. They love misery. Do you want to be in that group? Is that the direction you are trying to go to? Again, the big question is, can you write down what you love? And if you can, are you able to make these things your focus? Always remember: When things go wrong, they can always be made right. All it takes is one positive thought to turn your whole day around. That is how strong a positive thought is! There is a quote that says "Positive people don't believe that the world is perfect. They just choose to see the imperfections and work with them." That's it. See the beauty that surrounds you. See it, appreciate it, and write your list of all that you love. Post it where you can see it and add on daily. This is how you learn gratitude. This is how you learn to love the life that you were given.
Wishing you peace and love... but mostly, Peace.
