No One Can Tell You.....

I say something to my Personal Training clients that I always said to myself and still do: "Don't make this whole weight loss thing bigger than what it is(excuse the pun). In fact, don't make most things going on in your life bigger than you! Put everything that is going on in your life in the correct place and order; from the issues that are out of your control to what can be done right now to make your life better. No one can tell you what is the most important issue, because what might be a problem for me, might seem like a non-issue to you, and this is why you have to sit quietly and go over your priority list. I try not to say write a "Problem List" I use the word priority instead; it is way more positive and why turn it negative if we don't have to? So, sit and write your priority list, once you have finished, look and see what is number 1, is it your health?  9 out of 10 times, for most of us, it isn't. The list usually goes like this: 1. Pay car/house off  2. Put more money away for college/kids/retirement 3. blah, blah, blah! Where is: "Get my health together so I can live a better life?" Now don't get it twisted, I know we or most of us, have huge responsibilities, but where on your list are you? Number 10? Are you even on your list? No one can tell you where you should be on your list... oh wait, I am trying to tell you where you need to be on your list! right on top. Think about this; the grind is always going to be there. The bills, the stress, the everyday of it, is always going to be here, so why make it bigger than you? Take a deep breath, close your eyes and visualize where you want to be, now get up. No one can tell you your worth, no one can tell you when you are going to make the decision to get your health or weight together, nor should they try. This is all about you, be your priority.
