Are You Dumb?

Some years ago one of my more wealthy clients said to me that racism in business is not sustainable. That after a while, and it might take a while, like a piece of fruit, the rot from the inside starts to show. We see it all around us. Huge corporations that have been around for some time now, are being derailed, failing, lawsuits abound. Why? Because they forgot the first rule of business: Your personal feelings are your feelings. But if someone is making money for you or can make money for you...Hire them and keep them. This is why I ask the question: Are you dumb? We live in an age where nothing is secret. Everyone is on Social Media spewing their hatred(s), outrage, naked pictures, etc. on various sites. As a money making business owner, why would you think it was copacetic to hinder someone in your business from progressing, make lewd/racial comments or be violent against someone because of their color/gender or sexual preference? Are you dumb? Take emotion out of it and just think of the repercussions that are going to wreak havoc with your money when you end up on Social Media and the news because of your petty personal feelings. Are you dumb? This isn't the sixties, you must be cognizant of your image online. Unless you are a Trust fund baby or already made your millions, as an entrepreneur, you don't make money unless people patronize your business, right? I used to have a tough as nails boss. She didn't like me, nor did I like her. We both understood each other. I was and am a great employee. She knew this and made me Manager. Why? She understood business. I brought in clients. They loved me and in loving me, they loved her business. Everyone wins! Together we were a money-making machine, nothing personal, all business. Business owners should be above such petty traps and it is a trap. Unless an employee's penis picture, boob picture, racially charged rants, killings, etc. end up online, why aren't you letting people climb the ladder of success in your company? Why do you single certain people out to humiliate? Why are you choking people!? Do you have a problem with others? If you do and only you can answer that question, you are dumb. Why? Because you are leaving money on the table and that concept is abhorrent to this entrepreneur. Wishing all of you, peace and love, but mostly, Peace.
